As a lifelong entrepreneur, Marcel C. Arsenault, CEO and founder of Real Capital Solutions, has pursued his passion for building sustainable solutions. Mr. Arsenault views the resources he endows to One Earth Future Foundation (OEF) as “venture capital” to be used to help create solutions for sustainable peace that are valued by institutions other than his own. He believes that by helping humanity create new systems for global governance that prioritize collaboration and coordination to solve emerging problems, it is possible to achieve self-perpetuating, systemic change over the long term.
Marcel and Cynda have joined The Giving Pledge. The Giving Pledge is a global, multi-generational commitment by some of the world’s wealthiest individuals and couples to give a majority of their wealth to philanthropy or charitable causes, either during their lifetimes or in their wills. It aims to create a movement that will help change the norms around wealth and giving on a global scale.

One Earth Future Foundation
Marcel C. Arsenault and Cynda Collins Arsenault endowed the One Earth Future Foundation (OEF) with the belief that solving complex problems facing humanity calls for a fundamentally different way of working together.
OEF is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that incubates innovative programs designed to foster sustainable peace by solving complex problems at the root of armed conflict. OEF believes that sustainable peace requires a global practice of cross-sector actors working collaboratively to solve problems through networked coordination, rather than each working 100% independently and solely to achieve individual mandates. In conflict zones globally, OEF designs and operates peacebuilding programs at the intersection of efforts by community leadership, the private sector, civil society, and local and national government agencies, which all have an important role to play in effective governance.
Started as an incubator of semi-autonomous programs. Each program works toward sustainable solutions for a specific problem, while gathering and sharing lessons about cooperative governance more broadly.
Whether it is supporting grassroots coalitions in Colombia, connecting Somali businesses to lenders abroad or working toward cooperative solutions to maritime security, OEF will remain focused on its vision of sustainable peace through cooperative governance.

Secure World Foundation
Marcel C. Arsenault and Cynda Collins Arsenault have also created the Secure World Foundation (SWF), which envisions the secure, sustainable and peaceful uses of outer space contributing to global stability and benefits on Earth. The mission for SWF is to work with governments, industry, international organizations and civil society to develop and promote ideas and actions to achieve the secure, sustainable and peaceful uses of outer space, benefiting Earth and all its peoples.
Since its inception, SWF has worked extensively with partners around the world and with the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), which focuses on the international cooperative governance of space activities and the UN First Committee, which focuses on issues related to international security and disarmament. SWF was granted permanent observer status to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) in June 2008. In December 2020, Secure World Foundation’s work to promote space sustainability was recognised by the leading space sector publication SpaceNews with the 2020 Space Stewardship Award. In March 2018, Cynda Collins Arsenault was honored with the Pathfinder Award at the WorldDenver International Women’s Day Gala, celebrating her achievements as president and co-founder of SWF as well as her personal philanthropy.
The current Executive Director of SWF is Dr Peter Martinez. Before becoming SWF Executive Director in 2018, Dr Martinez chaired the UN COPUOS Working Group on the Long-Term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities, which produced a set of 21 international consensus guidelines for space sustainability.
“It’s easier to create the positive than to undo the negative. It’s also a lot more fun.”
– Cynda Collins Arsenault, Founder, Secure World Foundation
PAX Sapiens
Since 2000, Marcel C. Arsenault and Cynda Collins Arsenault have conducted personal philanthropy through the Arsenault Family Foundation. In 2021, the Arsenault Family Foundation rebranded as PAX sapiens and launched as a growing philanthropic foundation with the mission of funding projects which can deliver long-term, sustainable peace.
Currently the major funding recipients include One Earth Future and several other peacebuilding NGOs working on issues from negotiated peace in conflict areas through women’s engagement in peacebuilding processes and economic development for peace. The foundation launched with a $4 million commitment to funding and is expected to grow aggressively over time.
