RCS and Partners Break Ground on 4th Street Crossing in Silverthorne

Silverthorne Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist, Silverthorne Town Council members and Town Staff joined Milender White (MW) and partners this morning to break ground on construction of 4th Street Crossing. The new heart of downtown Silverthorne, 4th Street Crossing is a $100M mixed-use development that will feature a 29,000 sq. ft. Market Hall, a 115-key Hotel Indigo, for sale condos and townhomes and 6,600 sq. ft. of retail along 4th Street.
“Today is an important day in Silverthorne’s young history,” said Silverthorne Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist. “This ground-breaking ceremony not only commemorates the beginning of an exciting new development project but also an exciting new future for our downtown. It is the result of years of vision and planning by our Town Council and Staff who, nearly a decade ago, began working diligently to bring to fruition the community’s desire to have a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly downtown core. The project also represents a great partnership with our developers, Milender White, whose expertise and dedication have brought the project to life.”
In March 2017, MW was selected by the Town of Silverthorne to become the master developer of the project. Over the last two years, MW conducted a series of plan iterations, community meetings and collaborative work with Town Staff. The final site plan for the development was approved by Town Council in March and MW closed on the project in July. Partners for the project include Real Capital Solutions and Nightcap Hospitality.
“We saw an opportunity to create something truly unique to Silverthorne, and we went for it,” said Tim Fredregill, Development Executive for MW. “The market is ready for something new and fresh in the mountains. Like other mountain area downtowns, 4th Street Crossing will be pedestrian-friendly and full of activity, but this district will have a more modern and rhythmic personality. It will cater to anyone and everyone that wants to be a part of something new, local and exclusive to Silverthorne.”
The new, yet-to-be-named Market Hall is central to the 4th Street Crossing district. The Hall will consist of 10-12 chef-driven culinary concepts along with a handful of local retail entrepreneurs. The space will feature open seating, a flexible event space, a children’s play area and interactive arcade games. Milender White has also preserved the iconic Old Dillon Inn by encapsulating the rustic building inside the Market Hall.
Groundbreaking attendees provided name ideas for the Market Hall and were asked what kind of food options they would like to see offered.
“Our goal with the Market Hall is to create a place where the best creative minds and businesses can connect and grow together, while also establishing a true destination for the Silverthorne community and Town visitors,” Fredregill said.
Milender White, who is also serving as the general contractor for several scopes within the project, is wrapping up demolition of the site and foundations for the first buildings will begin soon. The new parking structure and transit center will be ready for public use mid-2020. The rest of the buildings will be delivered in a staggered fashion thereafter.
Planning and architectural partners on the development include DTJ Design, O’Bryan Partnership, Inc. and NEOstudio. Tetra Tech is providing civil engineering services. Slifer Smith & Frampton are managing sales for the residential units.
